Stunning Vintage All Silk Beaded Handmade Battenburg-style Lace Dress, Jacket and Slip - Gorgeous Pale Mauve-Pink Satin - Satin Slip - L/XL

Another absolutely exquisite 100% SILK satin dress and jacket set of the most unbelievable, HAND MADE Battenburg style lace that is entirely made of pure silk satin tubing, silk thread and handsewn glass beads----handwork like this is very rarely found in any contemporary-made garment, the quality of it is stupendous! It truly reminds me of some of the beautiful antique Battenburg lace pieces that I own---creating this all-silk lace must have taken hours and hours, and then to top it off, it's also accented at intervals with tiny glass beads on various small areas of the dress and jacket. Has a separate silk satin slip, all in a wonderful pale silvery mauve/pink. This ensemble is like new, was worn only ONCE, has no condition issues whatsoever. It would be fabulous for a wedding or any formal occasion--all the incredible handwork has to be seen to be believed! I believe this was originally sold in the 90's or early 2000's at Nordstrom in their high end formal wear department. Inner tags have been removed, but this is the same maker/all 100% silk material as the green set I sold previously and this one is a larger size. Styling is gorgeous and reminiscent of vintage 1930's gowns, with inset godets at the lower part of the skirt to create a beautiful flaring hem as well as gently flaring sleeves on the jacket.

I love antique and vintage clothing and have collected it for years, as well as having a longtime design career including doing costume & restoration work for major movie studios and museums....I've translated that love to my own contemporary creations as well as now offering some choice pieces of my extremely large collection of vintage and antique beauties!

Measurements of this wonderful ensemble are as follows (it is an L/XL):
On the dress:
Bust max: up to 44".
Waist: 40"
Hip: about 46" max
Length is 57" from shoulder to hem; this fits and drapes SO beautifully on the body for a multitude of sizes, as you can see. Mannequin is approx. 5' 6" and a modern size 6/8, the outfit is way too loose on the mannequin so in my opinion a modern size 14/16 would fit this best (but check measurements to be sure!)
On the jacket (open style with lapels and bell sleeves, has no fasteners) :
Bust: about 44", meant to be worn open. The lace on both the jacket and dress, which are both flared towards the hem, has some stretchiness and can accommodate curves, in fact this would look definitely better on someone curvy than on my much-too-thin mannequin!

Condition: Like new, worn only once, no rips, spots, stains or other damages that I can see; I will go over the dress and jacket very carefully before shipping just to make doubly sure there are no loose threads anywhere. Gorgeous and a very rare quality ensemble!
