Stunning Vintage NWOT 90s/Y2K Designer Victor Costa Embroidered Bohemian Coat - Black w Floral Embroidery - Pockets - Size L

Stunning and beautifully made, NEW without tags, boho embroidered coat by designer Victor Costa. So beautiful and elegant, with extensive floral embroidery all down the front, sleeves and around the mandarin collar. Princess styling and a shaped A-line fit, with bound-edge pockets and loop/button front closures down the entire front. Fabric is a substantial, woven heavy cotton or cotton/rayon blend (cannot find a fiber content tag but based on observation/analysis) Fully lined. Gorgeous bohemian piece!

I love antique and vintage clothing and have collected it for years, as well as having a longtime design career including doing costume & restoration work for major movie studios and museums....I've translated that love to my own contemporary creations as well as now offering some choice pieces of my extremely large collection of vintage and antique beauties!

I can't find a size tag, but it fits like an L or M/L; please check measurements!
Chest measures 48" on the OUTSIDE, closed. (Inside will be smaller by at least 1") I would suggest wearer have no larger than a 44-45" bust.
Sleeves are 25" from shoulder to cuff edge.
Length is 38" from shoulder to hem; Mannequin is approx. 5' 6" and a modern size 6/8, the coat is way too loose on the mannequin so in my opinion a modern size 14/16 would fit this best (but check measurements to be sure!)

Condition: Beautiful, new without tags, no rips, spots, stains or other damages that I can see, has a Victor Costa Occasions tag. No size tag or fiber content tag but I am relatively sure this is cotton, or a rayon/cotton blend. Very nice quality woven fabric with gorgeous embroidery! Fully lined in either rayon or silk.
