Exquisite soft ivory with pink embroidered roses vintage 1990s April Cornell size L ethereal embroidered net lace dress, this beauty is SO perfect for a vintage themed wedding or other event! Raised-waist style that slips on over the head; has an attached full slip of soft white rayon. Lovely unworn condition, too. Beautifully made with lovely fine rayon-embroidered net lace; beautiful clusters of pink roses and crisscrossed garlands of light green leaves. Such an exquisite dress and also very comfortable to wear; this would be a PERFECT wedding, tea or garden party gown or to wear to an event like the Gatsby Summer Afternoon!

I love antique and vintage clothing and have collected it for years, as well as having a longtime design career including doing costume & restoration work for major movie studios and museums....I've translated that love to my own contemporary creations as well as now offering some choice pieces of my extremely large collection of vintage and antique beauties! I'm meticulous about clothing in general so I make quite sure that every piece of vintage clothing I sell is clean, fresh, pressed and in excellent wearable condition---I do not use any fragranced or heavily-chemical products in caring for/cleaning garments and they are carefully stored in climate-controlled closets at all times except for when I am photographing them for listings.

Size tag is L but please go by the measurements below. Vintage April Cornell dresses are often generously sized.

Bust measures 44" on the inner slip, which is NOT stretchy; the outer net lace dress bust measurement is 46" pit to pit. Wearer's bust measurement should be at least one to two inches smaller than the inner slip measurement.

Length is 53" from shoulder to hem on the lace outer dress, a couple of inches shorter on the inner slip (see photos). Mannequin is a modern size 6/8 (36-26-36); it fits the mannequin as shown with room to spare, in fact I would say the mannequin is too thin for the dress. I think best for a 12-14, no larger.

Condition: I can find no flaws on this dress, it is in like-new condition. Freshly cleaned, no spots, stains, rips, holes or damages, Just gorgeous! Designer's own April Cornell tag, marked L.
