April Cornell Vintage - Lime Sherbet w Violet Dots Woven Jacquard Floral Rayon Crepe -1990s Does 1930s/40s Dress - Plus Size - Back Ties

A super nice quality, large size vintage 1990s April Cornell dress in a lovely light lime sherbet color (the video does not show true color, it's brighter and lighter exactly like the photos) with tiny violet dots, overprinted on rayon crepe woven in a subtle floral jacquard pattern, with April's classic front-button bodice, back ties style. Wonderful details such as tiny pintucks on the bodice and cuffs (this has three-quarter sleeves) This is the high quality, beautiful rayon crepe that April originally used in her dresses back in the day and which you don't find in her current collections anymore--it's "old school" lasting quality that wears well, which is why collectors just love her vintage dresses! Beautifully made with lovely details such as a softly flared skirt, a vintage-style collar, inset back ties and even an extra button attached to the inner side seam. Such a timeless, beautiful and wearable vintage 40's style. The size tag is missing but I would say this is definitely an XL or maybe an XXL (see measurements below). This is a super flattering fit!

I love antique and vintage clothing and have collected it for years, as well as having a longtime design career including doing costume & restoration work for major movie studios and museums....I've translated that love to my own contemporary creations as well as now offering some choice pieces of my extremely large collection of vintage and antique beauties.

Size tag is missing, please go by the measurements below-- Vintage April Cornell dresses are often generously sized.

Bust max: dress measures 46" pit to pit, fits up to about 44", no larger than that.
High waist measures 42" across, fits up to 39"-40" or so. Can be made significantly smaller by tying the back ties.
Length is approx 45" from shoulder to hem while on the hanger; this measurement will be a little shorter on a human figure; the dress fits and drapes SO beautifully on the body as you can see. Mannequin is a modern size 6/8 (36-26-36) and much too thin for the dress; but like many April Cornell vintage dresses, the fit can be adjusted with the back ties. I'd say best for up to a 16, but double check measurements to be sure; there are no returns or exchanges on vintage clothing.

Condition: I can find no flaws on this dress; it is freshly cleaned and looks like new, no spots, stains, rips, holes or damages, just gorgeous! April Cornell label is intact, size tag has been removed.
