FAB April Cornell Vintage - Gorgeous Vivid Autumn Colors Vintage Style Print - 1990s Does 1930s Dress - Cottagecore - Beaded Details - M/L

Another gorgeous vintage 1990s April Cornell dress, perfect for right now with THE most beautiful autumnal very vintage style print of ruby, apricot and green flowers and leaves on deep, vivid orange rayon crepe, with an empire waist, three quarter sleeves, and delicate antique brass beads around the neckline and tiny delicate crochet-style edging on the neckline and sleeve edges. (This is a true, deep vivid orange--it shows red in the video but is not red) So many wonderful tiny details to notice, including a row of antique brass buttons and loops at the side--(decorative only, non functional). Wonderful bias cut skirt drapes in all the right places! This is the high quality, beautiful rayon crepe that April originally used in her dresses back in the day and which you don't find in her current collections anymore--it's "old school" lasting quality that wears well, which is why collectors just love her vintage dresses! Beautifully made with lovely details and exquisite finish work. Such a timeless, beautiful and wearable vintage style, with a soft line that clings to the body-very vintage 30's/40's. I absolutely LOVE this fabric, the print and colorations are just delicious and the dress is such good quality! Three quarter length sleeves, pulls on over the head.

I love antique and vintage clothing and have collected it for years, as well as having a longtime design career including doing costume & restoration work for major movie studios and museums....I've translated that love to my own contemporary creations as well as now offering some choice pieces of my extremely large collection of vintage and antique beauties.

Though marked an L, please go by the measurements below-- Vintage April Cornell dresses are often generously sized.

Bust max: dress measures 42" pit to pit, fits up to about 39-40", no larger than that.
High waist measures 38" across, fits up to 34"-36" or so.
Length is approx 48" from shoulder to hem while on the hanger; this measurement will be a little shorter on a human figure; because it is a bias cut the dress fits and drapes SO beautifully on the body as you can see. Mannequin is a modern size 6/8 (36-26-36) and the dress fits loosely with lots of room to spare. It will look MUCH better on a real human body with curves! I'd say best for up to a 12/14, but double check measurements to be sure; there are no returns or exchanges on vintage clothing.

Condition: I can find no flaws on this gorgeous dress; it is freshly cleaned and is in excellent shape, no spots, stains, rips, holes or damages. There was one button missing from the decorative row of buttons and loops at the side (non-functional) so I replaced it with a very similar one. Labels are intact, with the designer's own April Cornell tag. Marked an L.
