A most fabulous and exquisitely made, brand new vintage (Ralph Lauren Spring 2003 collection) couture silk jacket by the one and only Ralph Lauren, in a truly breathtaking fabric of pure silk striped lisere brocade of delicate flowers on cream and robin's egg blue---this jacket is simply SUPERB in every way! The styling is classically Victorian/Western, with a form fitting silhouette, gorgeous tailoring, slightly belled sleeves and a stand up collar. Delicate buttons engraved with the Lauren monogram descend all down the front, and this also has bound-edge small pockets on the front (these have not been opened) The careful tailoring, matching of the stripes, beautiful fit-and-flare shape and of course the magnificent silk fabric are all simply impeccable--Ralph Lauren is legendary for both his extraordinarily beautiful fabrics as well as meticulous, exquisite construction and design, and this jacket illustrates those qualities to perfection! The original price of this jacket was $280! This is one of THE most exquisite Lauren pieces I've ever owned, both in fabric and design---it's simply an example of the highest level of couture designer textile art and I could just keep looking at/admiring it all day! I love antique and vintage clothing and have collected it for years, as well as having a longtime design career including doing costume & restoration work for major movie studios and museums....I've translated that love to my own contemporary creations as well as now offering some choice pieces of my extremely large collection of vintage and antique beauties! I'm meticulous about clothing in general so I make quite sure that every piece of vintage clothing I sell is clean, fresh, pressed and in excellent wearable condition---I do not use any fragranced or heavily-chemical products in caring for/cleaning garments and they are carefully stored in climate-controlled closets at all times except for when I am photographing them for listings. This is a NON SMOKING environment and always has been--I do not sell anything that has any kind of odor, nor do I ship clothing stuffed into shipping bags; I use new USPS boxes ONLY and carefully fold/wrap everything in new tissue paper.

Marked a size M, measurements of this mind-blowingly beautiful jacket are as follows:

Bust measures 38" on the outside of this jacket; 32" at the waist, and is 22" long. I would not recommend any larger than a 36-37" bust measurement of the wearer, it is meant to fit closely but not tightly.

The mannequin is a size 6 and is a little bit too small for this jacket, I would recommend this for an 8/10.

Condition: Brand New vintage (without sales tag), no stains, spots or rips/holes, very clean and crisp, I cannot find any issues anywhere. Beautiful fabric! Green Ralph Lauren label.
