A vintage never worn, new with tag/extra button, beautifully made boho embroidered patchwork and appliqued woven rayon jacket in wonderful rainbow colors by designer Sandy Starkman, well known for her exquisite unusual materials, layering of different elements, bohemian designs and embroideries. So beautiful and eye catching, with extensive and intricate embroidery and applique all over the jacket, plus little silver handsewn beads scattered all over the design! Two fab butterfly shaped buttons close the front. The jacket itself is intricate in pattern and configuration, with patchwork, applique and embroidery connecting the wonderful stylized floral designs on front and back. Sandy Starkman jackets are truly "art to wear" and this one is vintage new, never worn, with an extra butterfly button included. Fully lined in purple rayon, 100% rayon throughout.

I love antique and vintage clothing and have collected it for years, as well as having a longtime design career including doing costume & restoration work for major movie studios and museums....I've translated that love to my own contemporary creations as well as now offering some choice pieces of my extremely large collection of vintage and antique beauties! I'm meticulous about clothing in general so I make quite sure that every piece of vintage clothing I sell is clean, fresh, pressed and in excellent wearable condition---I do not use any fragranced or heavily-chemical products in caring for/cleaning garments and they are carefully stored in climate-controlled closets at all times except for when I am photographing them for listings. This is a NON SMOKING environment and always has been--I do not sell anything that has any kind of odor, nor do I ship clothing stuffed into shipping bags; I use new USPS boxes ONLY and carefully fold/wrap everything in new tissue paper.

Size tag reads S but based on specs would work for a S-M/maybe M too; please check measurements below!
Chest measures 42" on the OUTSIDE, closed. (Inside will be smaller by at least 1") I would suggest wearer have no larger than a 38-39" bust.
Waist: 38"
Sleeves are 23.5" from shoulder to cuff edge.
Length is 21" from shoulder to hem; Mannequin is approx. 5' 6" and a modern size 6/8, the jacket fits the mannequin nicely with a little room to spare so in my opinion a modern size 6/8 up to 8-10 depending on how snug one wants the fit, would fit this best (but carefully check measurements to be sure!) 100% rayon.

Condition: Beautiful vintage condition, no rips, spots, odors, stains or other damages , has a Sandy Starkman tag plus attached tag with extra button. This has never been worn, but has hung in a closet for at least 20 years, so would benefit from a cleaning just to freshen it up.
