Vintage Nostalgia Rich Shimmery Panne Velvet Dress - Deep Purple/Rose/Brown 90s Vintage - Long Sleeves Button Front - Fit and Flare

Beautiful, shimmery panne rayon velvet with a definite antique feeling, this is such a charming dress for any fall event, wedding, party, etc. The fabric is fabulous---soft Victorian-looking print of purple, peach/pink roses and brown leaves on a black background on the most luscious and luxurious rich 100% rayon panne velvet. Velvet-covered buttons on the front, to just below the waistline. Princess-seamed bodice that fits closely at the waist and flares out to a full, sweeping twirly gored skirt--SO flattering and this is a classic Nostalgia style from the 1990s featuring the wonderful prints, colors and styling they were known for back then. In beautiful condition and so wearable right now (This looks fabulous with the brown velvet April Cornell coat I also have listed) A truly perfect fall/winter dress!

I love antique and vintage clothing and have collected it for years, as well as having a longtime design career including doing costume & restoration work for major movie studios and museums....I've translated that love to my own contemporary creations as well as now offering some choice pieces of my extremely large collection of vintage and antique beauties! I'm meticulous about clothing in general so I make quite sure that every piece of vintage clothing I sell is clean, fresh, pressed and in excellent wearable condition---I do not use any fragranced or heavily-chemical products in caring for/cleaning garments and they are carefully stored in climate-controlled closets at all times except for when I am photographing them for listings. This is a NON SMOKING environment and always has been--I do not sell anything that has any kind of odor, nor do I ship clothing stuffed into shipping bags; I use new USPS boxes ONLY and carefully fold/wrap everything in new tissue paper.

Though marked a vintage S, please go by the measurements below.
Wearer's actual body measurements should be at least 1-2" smaller than the max stated:
Bust: 39"
Waist: 30"
No stretch.
Length is 51" from shoulder to hem, but will fit and hang properly/higher on a real human rather than this mannequin. Mannequin is approx. 5' 6" and a modern size 6; I feel this dress fits that size well with a little room to spare, probably would work for an 8 also.
Condition: Vintage excellent condition, no issues, is clean and ready to wear. Nostalgia label, marked S and 100% rayon.
