Stunning Vintage All Silk 3 Piece Gothic Spiderweb Set - Beaded Handmade Battenburg-style Lace Cami, Cape and Pants - Black Silk Satin

Absolutely exquisite 100% SILK satin 3 piece set of the most unbelievable, HAND MADE Battenburg style lace that is entirely made of pure silk satin tubing, silk thread and handsewn glass beads----handwork like this is very rarely found in any contemporary-made garment, the quality of it is stupendous! It truly reminds me of some of the beautiful antique Battenburg lace pieces that I own---creating this all-silk lace must have taken hours and hours, and then to top it off, it's also accented at intervals with handsewn, tiny jet glass beads all over all three pieces. The set consists of a pair of fully silk-satin lined, full length silk lace pants; a sweeping cape/poncho (looks like a fabulous, intricate Gothic spiderweb!) that forms a full circle circumference when flat, plus a matching black silk satin lace camisole. This ensemble is new old stock, never worn, has no condition issues whatsoever. It would be fabulous for any formal occasion--all the incredible handwork has to be seen to be believed! This was originally sold in the 90's or early 2000's at Nordstrom in their high end formal wear department; the cape and pants are from "Soulmates", while the cami is from designer Carole Little--however it matches the other two pieces exactly---making three versatile pieces to wear separately or together. Classic gorgeous styling, suitable for an M or L--perfect for a very posh Halloween or Gothic event!

I love antique and vintage clothing and have collected it for years, as well as having a longtime design career including doing costume & restoration work for major movie studios and museums....I've translated that love to my own contemporary creations as well as now offering some choice pieces of my extremely large collection of vintage and antique beauties! I'm meticulous about clothing in general so I make quite sure that every piece of vintage clothing I sell is clean, fresh, pressed and in excellent wearable condition---I do not use any fragranced or heavily-chemical products in caring for/cleaning garments and they are carefully stored in climate-controlled closets at all times except for when I am photographing them for listings. This is a NON SMOKING environment and always has been--I do not sell anything that has any kind of odor, nor do I ship clothing stuffed into shipping bags; I use new USPS boxes ONLY and carefully fold/wrap everything in new tissue paper.

Measurements/details of this wonderful set are as follows:
Pants have a full 100% silk satin lining, an elastic waist and are marked L, but please check the following measurements carefully.
Waist: 30" stretches to 40"
Hip: about 44" max
Inseam: 29"
Length from waist to approx. pant hem: 42"
Cape/poncho is 24" circumference at the neck opening and a full circle at the bottom hem (actually more of a square than a circle as it hangs diagonally at center front and center back) with a neck-to-hem length of 28" at the center front and 22" from the side top of the neckline to the side hems which fall over the arms. Slips on over the head, does not have tags but was purchased with the pants, which have a "Soulmates 100% Silk, Hand Crochet" tag.
The bonus camisole has a "Carole Little 100% Silk Shell/Lining 100% Acetate" tag, marked a size 12 with measurements as follows:
Bust 38"; approx. length from top of shoulder strap: 22-23". (Straps could be shortened with a little hand sewing if they are too long for the wearer) Matches the other two pieces beautifully even though they are from different makers!

Condition: Vintage new old stock, no rips, spots, stains or other damages that I can see; I will go over the entire set very carefully before shipping just to make doubly sure there are no loose threads or loose beads anywhere. SO gorgeous, so unusual and a very rare quality ensemble!
