Sparkly Holiday 2 Piece Vintage 90s NWOT Set - Metallic Pink 50s Style Silk Sweater and Black Velvet Pink Sparkles Skirt

Glittery and gorgeous 2 piece holiday set of a 50's style metallic pink silk "sweater girl" sweater and flirty, flared-hem black stretch velvet skirt patterned all over with glimmering pink sparkles that match the sweater perfectly---such a fab set for holiday parties, dances, or other event-wear.....it's just scrumptious and glitters so beautiful in low light! The lilac-ish pink sweater is 80% silk/20% metallic, with a curvy fit, three-quarter-length sleeves and a draped, semi-cowl neckline finished off with a decorative bow on one side. The skirt is black stretch velvet, elastic waist, straight-line fit that flares out into a delicious, fluted hemline--the intricately curved seaming creates an almost-full-circle at the bottom hem. Stunning set and is vintage new without tags!

I'm a degreed and experienced textile scientist/antique garment restorer and seamstress, and I very, very carefully note any and all condition issues or repairs to every piece of antique/vintage clothing that I'm selling, so I can't stress enough that even if they're in pristine condition, remember they are all decades old and NOT new clothing, so if you desire modern perfection please don't purchase vintage! I love antique and vintage clothing and have collected it for years, as well as having a longtime design career including doing costume & restoration work for major movie studios and museums....I've translated that love to my own contemporary creations as well as now offering some choice pieces of my extremely large collection of vintage and antique beauties! I'm meticulous about clothing in general so I make quite sure that every piece of vintage clothing I sell is clean, fresh, pressed and in excellent wearable condition---I do not use any fragranced or heavily-chemical products in caring for/cleaning garments and they are carefully stored in climate-controlled closets at all times except for when I am photographing them for listings. This is a NON SMOKING environment and always has been--I do not sell anything that has any kind of odor, nor do I ship clothing stuffed into shipping bags; I use new USPS boxes ONLY and carefully fold/wrap everything in new tissue paper.

Both pieces marked an L, but please go by the measurements below as it may work for an M as well.
There is some stretch to both pieces; they measure:
Sweater Bust: 36" unstretched to about 38-39" stretched
Sweater Waist: 30" unstretched to about 34-35" stretched
Skirt Waist: 32" unstretched to about 36" stretched (has elastic)
Skirt Hip: about 42", could stretch another inch or two
Length of sweater is 24"; Length of skirt is 28" from waist to hem; this set fits and drapes SO beautifully on the body as you can see. Mannequin is approx. 5' 6" and a modern size 6/8 (36-26-36); it's too roomy for the mannequin especially in the waist.

Condition: New without tags, in excellent shape and clean, no spots, stains, rips, holes or damages, no snagging, just gorgeous! Labels are intact; "Joseph A" on the sweater and "Notations" on the skirt.
