April Cornell Vintage - Gorgeous Vivid Coral, Yellow and Red Vintage Style Print - 90s Does 30s Dress - Cottagecore - Size S/M

$58.00

Another gorgeous vintage 1990s April Cornell dress, perfect for right now with THE most beautiful very vintage style print of ruby, coral and yellow flowers and leaves on rich rayon crepe, with a clingy-fit waist shaped by darts, three quarter sleeves, and a square neckline backed with a ruby red inner bodice-area lining edged with lace, that peeks out over the top of the neckline. Wonderful bias cut skirt drapes in all the right places! This is the high quality, beautiful rayon crepe that April originally used in her dresses back in the day and which you don't find in her current collections anymore--it's "old school" lasting quality that wears well, which is why collectors just love her vintage dresses! Such a timeless, beautiful and wearable vintage style, with a soft line that clings to the body-very vintage 30's/40's. Three quarter length sleeves, pulls on over the head, no fasteners. Marked size M but being vintage it is a smallish M--my mannequin doesn't have the right curves to show this to best advantage!

IMPORTANT: PLEASE, please be sure to read ALL of the description especially the measurements and condition, and examine ALL the photos, BEFORE asking questions; and do be absolutely positive this piece will fit your requirements, as there are no refunds or returns. I'm a degreed and experienced textile scientist/antique garment restorer and seamstress, and I very, very carefully note any and all condition issues or repairs to every piece of antique/vintage clothing that I'm selling, so I can't stress enough that even if they're in pristine condition, remember they are all decades old and NOT newly-made clothing, so if you desire modern perfection please don't purchase vintage! I don't do layaways or take offers, so please don't ask, thank you. Jewelry/accessories/props in photos are not included and not for sale.

I love antique and vintage clothing and have collected it for years, as well as having a longtime design career including doing costume & restoration work for major movie studios and museums....I've translated that love to my own contemporary creations as well as now offering some choice pieces of my extremely large collection of vintage and antique beauties! I'm meticulous about clothing in general so I make quite sure that every piece of vintage clothing I sell is clean, fresh, pressed and in excellent wearable condition---I do not use any fragranced or heavily-chemical products in caring for/cleaning garments and they are carefully stored in climate-controlled closets at all times except for when I am photographing them for listings. There is NO SMOKING whatsoever in this establishment and never has been. Everything is very diligently inspected before it is shipped to you, carefully wrapped in new tissue, and I only ship in NEW USPS boxes, NOT flimsy bags or crammed into careless packaging (which seems to be widespread nowadays but I really hate to see when I'm the recipient!) I respect clothing and I ship it the way I would want it shipped to me.

Though marked an M, please go by the measurements below--sometimes vintage sizes are smaller.

Being cut on the bias, this is harder to measure, so the measurements given are the maximum "stretched" and cannot be stretched further:
Bust max: dress measures 38" fully stretched pit to pit, fits up to about 36", no larger than that.
Waist area measures 34" across fully stretched, fits up to 31-32" or so. (This dress slips on over the head so be sure the wearer can get shoulders past the widest stretched waist measurement when putting it on)
Length is approx 49" from shoulder to hem while on the hanger; this measurement will be a little shorter on a human figure; because it is a bias cut the dress fits and drapes SO beautifully on the body as you can see. Mannequin is a modern size 6/8 (36-26-36) and the dress fits well, but will look MUCH better on a real human body with a little more curves! I'd say best for up to about an 8, but double check measurements to be sure; there are no returns or exchanges.

Condition: I can find no flaws on this dress; it is freshly cleaned and is in excellent shape, no spots, stains, rips, holes or damages. Labels are intact, with the designer's own April Cornell tag. Marked an M.

Please make sure this will suit you as to measurements and style before you purchase; I don't do alterations or accept returns.....Also, please be sure to read my shop policies/shipping info in full before you purchase (click on "policies" on my main shop page).
Do check my other listings for more gorgeous vintage and antique clothing including many more 70's, 80's and 90's designer pieces coming up very soon, as well as my own very popular antique-style hats, accessories & vintage/antique china and decor items.....I try to list new items at least weekly....Thanks for visiting!
