An absolutely DIVINE 100% silk super-floaty chiffon, flowing many-layered rich-bohemian dress in softest lavender and ivory, by the one and only Nancy Johnson, whose gorgeous vintage-inspired designs graced the pages of famed Victoria magazine in the 1980s (Victoria magazine, August 1988, pgs. 76-87)---her beautiful fabrics and very vintage style designs are strongly reminiscent of 1920's and 1930's style. This one is just mouthwateringly gorgeous with its soft, cascading silk layers of light lavender and ivory antique-looking print--all of the fabrics Nancy used in her creations have such a wonderful vintage look. Super full, intricately constructed handkerchief hemmed silk chiffon double skirt that features an asymmetrical hem of tons and tons of scarf-like points, lined bodice, double layered fluted-handkerchief sleeves. (My mannequin is a little too small for the dress--it will look sensational on the correct size!) I love antique and vintage clothing and have collected it for years, as well as having a longtime design career including doing costume & restoration work for major movie studios and museums....I've translated that love to my own contemporary creations as well as now offering some choice pieces of my extremely large collection of vintage and antique beauties! I'm meticulous about clothing in general so I make quite sure that every piece of vintage clothing I sell is clean, fresh, pressed and in excellent wearable condition---I do not use any fragranced or heavily-chemical products in caring for/cleaning garments and they are carefully stored in climate-controlled closets at all times except for when I am photographing them for listings. There is NO SMOKING whatsoever in this establishment and never has been. Everything is very diligently inspected before it is shipped to you, carefully wrapped in new tissue, and I only ship in NEW USPS boxes, NOT flimsy bags or crammed into careless packaging (which seems to be widespread nowadays but I really hate to see when I'm the recipient!) I respect clothing and I ship it the way I would want it shipped to me.

Measurements of this sublime dress are as follows:
Bust measures 41", wearer's measurement should be no larger than 38" or so.
Waist: 36"--again, wearer's waist should be no larger than 30-33"; this bodice should fit comfortably/loosely, not snugly!
Length varies from 46"to 52" from shoulder to hem depending on the measurement at the shortest and longest hem points; this fits and drapes SO beautifully on the body for a multitude of sizes. I believe this could fit up to a modern size 10-12 (but check measurements to be sure!), definitely no larger than that.

Condition: Absolutely excellent condition, no stains, spots or rips/holes, freshly cleaned, no staining or underarm discoloration, no evidence of wear, I cannot find any issues whatsoever. Beautiful fabric that looks very 1930s! Labels intact, "Nancy Johnson", 100% silk and a vintage size 12 tag.
