April Cornell Vintage 1990s Does 1920s Dress - Coral Roses Dancing Girls - Sheer Rayon Chiffon Silver Threads - Button on Back Ties

Absolutely lovely vintage 1990s April Cornell dress with a definite feeling of the 1920's, this beauty is just scrumptious with its delightful print of coral and pale blue flowers, dancing girls, cottages and other nostalgic motifs on ecru sheer rayon chiffon that also features silvery metallic threads randomly scattered throughout the fabric giving it a unique shimmer and sparkle here and there--so pretty! Very sheer, so you will need a slip underneath (not included). This is one of the high quality, beautiful rayon fabrics that April originally used in her dresses back in the day and which you don't find in her current collections anymore. Beautifully made with lovely details such as button-on back ties, princess seams and a fluted ruffle at the hem. Such a timeless, beautiful and wearable vintage style, with a softly drapey line that clings to the body-very vintage 20's! PERFECT spring/summer wedding, tea or garden party gown!

I love antique and vintage clothing and have collected it for years, as well as having a longtime design career including doing costume & restoration work for major movie studios and museums....I've translated that love to my own contemporary creations as well as now offering some choice pieces of my extremely large collection of vintage and antique beauties! I'm meticulous about clothing in general so I make quite sure that every piece of vintage clothing I sell is clean, fresh, pressed and in excellent wearable condition---I do not use any fragranced or heavily-chemical products in caring for/cleaning garments and they are carefully stored in climate-controlled closets at all times except for when I am photographing them for listings. There is NO SMOKING whatsoever in this establishment and never has been. Everything is very diligently inspected before it is shipped to you, carefully wrapped in new tissue, and I only ship in NEW USPS boxes, NOT flimsy bags or crammed into careless packaging (which seems to be widespread nowadays but I really hate to see when I'm the recipient!) I respect clothing and I ship it the way I would want it shipped to me.

Though marked a M, please go by the measurements below! Vintage April Cornell dresses are often generously sized. Needs an underslip, not included.

Bust: dress measures 42", wearer's measurement should be at least 2" smaller than this.
Hips: 44", wearer's measurement should be at least 2" smaller than this as well.
Length is 45" from shoulder to hem while on the hanger; this measurement will be a little shorter on a human figure; the dress fits and drapes SO beautifully on the body as you can see. Mannequin is a modern size 6/8 (36-26-36) ; fit can be made tighter by using the button-on back ties, or you can remove them completely if desired.

Condition: I can find no flaws on this dress, it's in excellent condition and is freshly cleaned, no spots, stains, rips, holes or damages, Just gorgeous! Labels are intact, with the designer's own April Cornell tag.
