Romantic 1920s Inspired Ivory Embroidered Georgette Dress and Slip - True Antique Look - 90s Vintage 20s Wedding or Gatsby Garden Party

A beautiful sheer ivory rayon georgette 2-pc dress with exquisite embroidery on the front of the overdress bodice; small mother of pearl buttons all down the entire front, long sleeves and a dropped waistline with a very full "crinkled" skirt, plus a matching full underslip---the antique-style details on this are absolutely gorgeous and it has a truly 1920s look! This beauty is SO perfect for a vintage themed wedding or other event--it is vintage 1990s from the much-loved company Nostalgia, famous for decades for their wonderful rayon dresses. Excellent condition! Beautifully made and also very comfortable to wear; this would be a PERFECT wedding, tea or garden party gown or to wear to an event like the Gatsby Summer Afternoon. I love antique and vintage clothing and have collected it for years, as well as having a longtime design career including doing costume & restoration work for major movie studios and museums....I've translated that love to my own contemporary creations as well as now offering some choice pieces of my extremely large collection of vintage and antique beauties! I'm meticulous about clothing in general so I make quite sure that every piece of vintage clothing I sell is clean, fresh, pressed and in excellent wearable condition---I do not use any fragranced or heavily-chemical products in caring for/cleaning garments and they are carefully stored in climate-controlled closets at all times except for when I am photographing them for listings. There is NO SMOKING whatsoever in this establishment and never has been. Everything is very diligently inspected before it is shipped to you, carefully wrapped in new tissue, and I only ship in NEW USPS boxes, NOT flimsy bags or crammed into careless packaging (which seems to be widespread nowadays but I really hate to see when I'm the recipient!) I respect clothing and I ship it the way I would want it shipped to me.

Measurements (marked a size M on the tag)
Bust measures 42" ; dropped waist is also 42"; wearer's measurements must be at least 2" smaller than this for best fit--this is meant to be loose fitting in the style of the 1920's. Length from shoulder to hem is 47". Mannequin is a modern size 6/8 (36-26-36); it fits the mannequin as shown with room to spare, in fact I would say the mannequin is a little too thin for the dress. I think best for an 8 to 10, wearer's measurements should be at least 1" smaller than what is stated here.

Condition: Excellent, probably never worn; I can find no flaws on this dress. It has been freshly cleaned and inspected; there are no stains, rips, holes or damages, just gorgeous! Nostalgia tag, marked M. Has a sleeveless, sheath type lightweight batiste underslip; you could change the look of the dress by wearing a different pastel slip under this if desired.
