Such a breathtakingly beautiful, feminine vintage 1990s April Cornell dress with a definite feeling of the 1930's, this exquisite beauty is just scrumptious with its vintage-style print of burgundy and dark rose on deep raspberry-pink semi-sheer rayon chiffon/georgette, in excellent unworn condition! This is the high quality, beautiful rayon that April originally used in her dresses back in the day and which you don't find in her current collections anymore. Short sleeves. SO beautifully made with lovely details such as inner straps/snaps set inside the shoulders of the dress to hold a slip in place (slip NOT included, this listing is for the dress only) ; you could wear a pink, white, silver or ivory slip underneath for different effects. A timeless, extremely beautiful and wearable vintage style, with a softly drapey, slightly gathered/pleated semi-surplice bodice, short flaring sleeves and a very full bias cut flared skirt-very vintage 30's! In absolutely excellent, looks-never-worn condition. Delicately ornamented along the neckline with handsewn tiny rose sequins and beads! I love antique and vintage clothing and have collected it for years, as well as having a longtime design career including doing costume & restoration work for major movie studios and museums....I've translated that love to my own contemporary creations as well as now offering some choice pieces of my extremely large collection of vintage and antique beauties! I'm meticulous about clothing in general so I make quite sure that every piece of vintage clothing I sell is clean, fresh, pressed and in excellent wearable condition---I do not use any fragranced or heavily-chemical products in caring for/cleaning garments and they are carefully stored in climate-controlled closets at all times except for when I am photographing them for listings. This is a NON SMOKING environment and always has been--I do not sell anything that has any kind of odor, nor do I ship clothing stuffed into shipping bags; I use new USPS boxes ONLY and carefully fold/wrap everything in new tissue paper.

Though marked a (vintage size) M, please go by the measurements below, could fit an S as well. This is cut on the bias so it has more "give" and will drape beautifully on varying figure types.

Bust: measures 38", fits up to about 36-37", no larger than that.
Raised Empire waist measures about 32"
Length is 51" from shoulder to hem of the dress while on the hanger; because this is a bias cut dress this measurement will probably be several inches shorter when on a human figure; the dress fits and drapes SO beautifully on the body as you can see. Mannequin is a modern size 6/8 (36-26-36); the dress fits the mannequin perfectly with maybe an inch or two to spare; since it's cut on the bias it adapts itself to fit the body shape. Not for larger than an 8.

Condition: I can find no flaws on this dress, it is like new and looks never worn, is freshly cleaned, no spots, stains, rips, holes or damages, Just gorgeous! Labels are intact, with the designer's own April Cornell tag, marked a vintage size M and 100% rayon.
