Pretty April Cornell Vintage - Raspberry Pink and Chocolate Woven Cotton - Spring Summer Picnic Dress - Cottagecore - Floral Embroidery - XL

Another lovely vintage April Cornell dress, size XL, with very soft woven 100% cotton lightweight lawn in gorgeous deep raspberry pink with a chocolate brown print, along with a brown cotton yoke embroidered in pink flowers, two chocolate brown appliqued bands circling the flared skirt, and a matching tie belt. Armholes are bound/trimmed with more of the chocolate brown cotton. Buttons all the way down the front and is super comfortable to wear! So versatile for all seasons, in cooler weather you could dress it up with a nice brown cardigan and brown stretchy belt, or other layering piece/accessories. April's designs are so comfortable, are timeless in style and always wear well, which is why collectors just love her vintage dresses! Beautifully made with lovely details and super soft 100% cotton fabric. Such a beautiful and wearable classic style, with a soft line that looks flattering on many figure types.

I love antique and vintage clothing and have collected it for years, as well as having a longtime design career including doing costume & restoration work for major movie studios and museums....I've translated that love to my own contemporary creations as well as now offering some choice pieces of my extremely large collection of vintage and antique beauties! I'm meticulous about clothing in general so I make quite sure that every piece of vintage clothing I sell is clean, fresh, pressed and in excellent wearable condition---I do not use any fragranced or heavily-chemical products in caring for/cleaning garments and they are carefully stored in climate-controlled closets at all times except for when I am photographing them for listings. This is a NON SMOKING environment and always has been--I do not sell anything that has any kind of odor, nor do I ship clothing stuffed into shipping bags; I use new USPS boxes ONLY and carefully fold/wrap everything in new tissue paper.

Though marked an XL, please go by the measurements below-- Vintage April Cornell dresses are often differently sized.

Bust: dress measures 44" pit to pit, fits up to about 42"-43" actual body measurement, no larger than that. Waist: 40". No stretch.
Length is approx 50" from shoulder to hem while on the hanger; the dress fits and drapes SO beautifully on the body as you can see. Mannequin is a modern size 6/8 (36-26-36) and the dress has lots and lots of room to spare. I'd say best for up to a 14, maybe a 16, but double check measurements to be sure; there are no returns or exchanges on vintage clothing.

Condition: I can find no flaws on this dress; it is freshly cleaned and looks great, no underarm wear, no stains, rips, holes or damages, just gorgeous! Labels are intact, with the designer's own April Cornell tag; also a care tag reading 100% cotton.
