Gorgeous blue and white toile birds-and-florals border print soft sheer georgette/chiffon dress, with smocked sleeves, a stretchy smocked waist and a full twirly multi tiered skirt. Like-new condition and wonderfully wearable for dinner, dance, any summer event or wedding---a perfect vintage tea or garden party dress. Has a white, full inner lining/slip. Three-tiered skirt, ruffled neckline, sleeve hems all show off the delicate blue border print---the blue in this print is a very soft, exquisite dusty French blue and the whole effect is very dreamy--a VERY pretty dress! Please be sure to read the measurements which are described below. This is a size S which might also work for an XS, or some M wearers with a small torso, but check measurements carefully as this is not generally stretchy and doesn't have a lot of extra room although the waist and sleeves ARE stretchable because of the smocking. PERFECT long dress for the mother of the bride or groom!

I love antique and vintage clothing and have collected it for years, as well as having a longtime design career including doing costume & restoration work for major movie studios and museums....I've translated that love to my own contemporary creations as well as now offering some choice pieces of my extremely large collection of vintage and antique beauties! I'm meticulous about clothing in general so I make quite sure that every piece of vintage clothing I sell is clean, fresh, pressed and in excellent wearable condition---I do not use any fragranced or heavily-chemical products in caring for/cleaning garments and they are carefully stored in climate-controlled closets at all times except for when I am photographing them for listings. This is a NON SMOKING environment and always has been--I do not sell anything that has any kind of odor, nor do I ship clothing stuffed into shipping bags; I use new USPS boxes ONLY and carefully fold/wrap everything in new tissue paper.

Measurements of this wonderful dress are as follows (marked an S):

Bust: at maximum, the dress measures 37"-38"; wearer should be at least 1-2 inches less than this in body measurement.
Waist: 22" unstretched to 30-31" stretched
This dress slips on over the head so wearer's shoulders need to be able to fit through this measurement as well.
Length is 51" from shoulder to hem. This fits VERY well on my size 6/8 mannequin (36-26-36), and could possibly fit up to an 8, but please check measurements! Would fit an XS just fine as well.

Condition: Pristine, no stains, spots or rips/holes, freshly cleaned, I cannot find any issues.
