NWT Abercrombie and Fitch Original Emerson, RARE Pink Seashells Print Cottagecore Dress, Cotton Poplin,Smocked Back, Midi Length, Size S

This is the ORIGINAL, phenomenally popular Abercrombie & Fitch "Emerson" midi dress--which quickly became a viral sensation/the top favorite of IG influencers a couple of years ago, and has been consistently sold out on the A & F site every year---for good reason, because it's THE most amazingly flattering, easy to wear dress for every figure type! Sadly, A & F just this year totally redesigned the Emerson and the new drastically pared-down version simply doesn't compare at all to the original in quality, style and fabric---so the OG Emerson is quickly becoming a collector's item! Part of the original Emerson's great appeal was the wide variety of prints as well as the excellent quality of the cotton poplin used--some prints were much more limited and hard to find than others; this is one of the rarest: the pale pink "sea life" seashells print. I absolutely love the original Emersons and thankfully have collected quite a few, since the style and quality have been so radically changed---so am sharing my extras here for fellow Emerson fans! This is new with tags, and has the classic puff sleeves (with elastic at the top so you can wear them off-shoulder if desired), high waistline, back smocking for a perfect fit, generously gathered skirt with a wide ruffle, roomy side pockets, and bodice pleating, forming a very flattering square neckline. Meant to be very snug fitting in the bodice--smaller busted people can probably even go braless with this style because it holds in/uplifts "the girls" like a super-comfortable corset. Just the most wonderful, versatile dress style ever--you can dress it up or down depending on the accessories you wear with it, perfect for travel, events, parties or weddings. Super nice quality cotton poplin that's ultra comfortable to wear. No longer being made in this style and fabric quality, so grab it while you can! I'm a degreed and experienced textile scientist/antique garment restorer and seamstress, and I very, very carefully note any and all condition issues or repairs to every piece of antique/vintage clothing that I'm selling, so I can't stress enough that even if they're in pristine condition, remember they are decades old and NOT new clothing (unless described as new or new with tags), so if you desire modern perfection please don't purchase vintage! I love antique and vintage clothing and have collected it for years, as well as having a longtime design career including doing costume & restoration work for major movie studios and museums....I've translated that love to my own contemporary creations as well as now offering some choice pieces of my extremely large collection of vintage and antique beauties and also newer pieces! I'm meticulous about clothing in general so I make quite sure that every piece of clothing I sell is clean, fresh, pressed and in excellent wearable condition---I do not use any fragranced or heavily-chemical products in caring for/cleaning garments and they are carefully stored in climate-controlled closets at all times except for when I am photographing them for listings. This is a NON SMOKING environment and always has been--I do not sell anything that has any kind of odor, nor do I ship clothing stuffed into shipping bags; I use new USPS boxes ONLY and carefully fold/wrap everything in new tissue paper.

Measurements of this wonderful dress are as follows (marked an S):

Bust: measures 32" without stretching the back, can stretch to about 35"-36". The bodice area is meant to be very close fitting, almost tight, for the best look--so please be aware of that and also that there are no fasteners, this goes on over the head or possibly can be stepped into and pulled up if wearer's hip measurement permits.
Raised waistline: 30" unstretched to 33-34" stretched. This dress slips on over the head so wearer's shoulders need to be able to fit through this measurement as well.
Length is 46" from shoulder to hem. (Emersons came in regular, petite and tall lengths--this one is regular) This fits perfectly on my size 6/8 mannequin (36-26-36), and could possibly fit up to an 8, but please check measurements! Again, the bodice is meant to be snug, so you may possibly want to size down one size from your usual if you like a very close fit.

Condition: New with tag, (lower half of tag has been torn off, but the original price was $120) no stains, spots or rips/holes, clean, unworn and has been carefully stored.
