Vintage Embroidered Cotton Jacquard Jacket, Dark Chocolate Brown, Metallic Embroidery Sequins Beads, Size M

Elegant and beautifully made jacket in a wonderful 100% cotton jacquard with a woven paisley pattern, gorgeously embroidered in metallic threads, sequins and beads down the front and back neckline as well as the small standup collar. The fabric and materials used in this are just exquisite and very high quality! Rich dark-chocolate brown; also has soutache trim around the edge of the collar and down the front edges, which have no closures as this is meant to be worn open. A great layering piece for fall and winter, goes with everything from jeans to a dress. In excellent condition, a size medium. This has shaped princess seaming for a flattering fit. I love antique and vintage clothing and have collected it for years, as well as having a longtime design career including doing costume & restoration work for major movie studios and museums....I've translated that love to my own contemporary creations as well as now offering some choice pieces of my extremely large collection of vintage and antique beauties! I'm meticulous about clothing in general so I make quite sure that every piece of vintage clothing I sell is clean, fresh, pressed and in excellent wearable condition---I do not use any fragranced or heavily-chemical products in caring for/cleaning garments and they are carefully stored in climate-controlled closets at all times except for when I am photographing them for listings. This is a NON SMOKING environment and always has been--I do not sell anything that has any kind of odor, nor do I ship clothing stuffed into shipping bags; I use new USPS boxes ONLY and carefully fold/wrap everything in new tissue paper.

Size tag is Chico's "2" which means a medium, 10/12; please check measurements!
Chest measures 42"-43" on the OUTSIDE (Inside will be smaller by at least 1") I would suggest wearer have no larger than a 38"-39" bust. This has no closures and is meant to be worn open.
Sleeves are 24" from shoulder to cuff edge.
Length is 22" from shoulder to hem; Mannequin is approx. 5' 6" and a modern size 6/8, the jacket is a little bit loose on the mannequin so in my opinion a modern 10, possibly a 12, depending on how snug one wants the fit, would fit this best (but carefully check measurements to be sure!)
Condition: Beautiful vintage condition, no rips, spots, stains, odors or other issues; label is Chico's 2 which equates to a medium, 10/12.
